Sandy Ground Union Beach
The Union Beach playground opened at Firemen’s Park on April fifth. The Park was the second park to be built by the Where Angels Play Foundation and was dedicated to Jack Pinto, a student lost during the 2012 Sandy Hook Shooting. The project lifted the spirits of the community and brought them together after hurricane Sandy. The local Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association was one of the biggest backers of the project, by collecting donations and volunteering during construction
